Beatriz Povoas (Pre-Ballet through Intermediate and Adult Ballet)

Born in Brazil, Ms. Povoas joined DANB in 2016 as a welcome addition to the company. She has participated in numerous ballet competitions (Argentina, Berlin, Brazil). Ms. Povoas was awarded at 1st place and 2nd place on Passo de Arte Belo Horizonte, finalist in the YAGP Brazil, 4th place on Tanzolymp Berlin, “Best Dancer” at Festival Nacional de Dança de Cabo Frio and more. She has worked professionally since 2015 at Ballet Marcia Sampio/Cabo Frio-Rio, Cia Jovem de Ballet de Rio de Janeiro, and Sesiminas Dance Company since 2013. Featured roles with DANB include Don Quixote, Esmeralda, Flames of Paris, Harlequinade, Constellations, Who Speaks, Requiem, and The Ring. Ms. Povoas is a petite dancer with a bright stage presence.
