Orientation Week

The first week back (August 10–15) will be orientation week for you and your dancer. We look forward to seeing you at your child’s classes that first week. We will share our expectations for you and your child as well as opportunities for your child.

Pofahl Overnight for High School Students will be August 15th. Check the bulletin board for more information.

Audition Flyer Information

Dance Alive National Ballet Opens Auditions for its 61st Season!

What: Auditions for DANB, Nutcracker, and the youth group Next Generation

When: Saturday, August 15, 2026

Cost: $25 payable to DANB at time of audition

Where: Pofahl Studios, 1325 NW 2 Street, Gainesville, FL 32601

Audition Schedule:

• 12:30–1:15 pm — Ages 7–8

• 1:30–2:15 pm — Ages 9–10

• 2:15–3:15 pm — Ages 11–13

Ballet experience required. Audition for Soldiers, Party Children, Franz’ friends, Mice, Next Generation.

• 3:30–4:15 pm — Ages 11–14 (2nd year pointe as of August 2025)

• 4:30–5:15 pm — Ages 12–17 (3rd year pointe as of August 2025)

Same age jazz dancers. Pointe experience required for girls. Ballet experience required. Pointe work for those roles on pointe. Audition for Party Children, Franz’ friends, Clara’s friends, Young Adults, Mice, Angels, Snowflakes, Act II corps, DANB & Next Generation.

• 5:30–6:00 pm — Tumblers Ages 7–18

Must be able to do back handsprings, splits, headstands, front and back walkovers and aerial tricks.
